1. Pydantic AI 2.66.0 Adds Self-Hosted OpenSandbox and Render Workspaces, Azure Durable Task Durability and Pixeltable Memory

Pydantic AI v2.66.0, released November 4, adds two workspace providers to Pydantic AI Harness: OpenSandbox, for teams that cannot send agent code to a hosted sandbox service, runs Coder, Shell and FileSystem in the open source OpenSandbox server on Docker or an existing Kubernetes cluster with no provider-specific tools, as E2BSandbox does (installed through the pydantic-ai-harness[opensandbox] extra, with later runs reattaching through a WorkspaceRef, per PR #11841), and RenderSandbox runs agent workspaces in Render sandboxes configured with RENDER_API_KEY and RENDER_WORKSPACE_ID, which stay available after a run until destroy(ref) is called (PR #10238). Harness also gains Azure Durable Task durability (pydantic_ai_harness.azure_durable_task, with AzureDurableTaskDurability and run_durable, running agents in Azure Durable Task Scheduler orchestrations) and Pixeltable support: read-only, allowlisted catalog tools plus a PixeltableMemoryStore with compare-and-set writes for agent memory. Other additions include an include_instructions option that keeps an MCP server’s instructions out of the agent’s instructions, a Workspace.authority setting and AuthorityWorkspace wrapper that mark files the operator did not write ('user' for uploads, 'none' for something like a cloned repo), xAI Grok Voice speech timing as segment timestamps, a retries field on SummarizingCompaction, and streaming for CohereModel. The release, together with v1.107.10 for the 1.x line, also fixes a batch of security advisories, two of them rated high, covering web fetching, secret redaction, tool schema handling, reloaded message history and the AG-UI and Vercel AI adapters.
