Meta AI Updates: October 30, 2026

1. Meta Partners With CNIB to Bring AI Glasses to Canadians Who Are Blind or Have Low Vision

Meta announced a partnership with CNIB, the Canadian National Institute for the Blind, to support people who are blind, Deafblind, or have low vision in using its AI glasses for tasks such as reading text, identifying objects, describing surroundings, and live translation. Meta is funding community listening sessions across Canada, peer-led training and demos run by community champions, accessible guides and training materials, and a feedback channel into its accessibility and product teams. Meta is also donating AI glasses to CNIB’s Come to Work employment program. The announcement does not disclose a funding amount or the number of glasses donated. Source

2. Meta Quietly Launches Style Sketch, an AI Outfit Planner, in Three Southeast Asian Markets

Meta released Style Sketch (“Style Sketch: Outfit Planner”) on iOS and Android in Indonesia, Singapore, and Thailand. The app builds a virtual wardrobe by connecting to Instagram and pulling clothes from photos a user has already posted, or from new photos, short videos, and camera-roll uploads. It suggests outfit combinations from that wardrobe, builds looks around a selected item, and offers virtual try-on on a model matched to the user’s body shape and skin tone. A trip planner takes a destination, length, and activities and returns a day-by-day outfit plan that factors in the weather forecast. Meta did not comment on wider availability. The app joins other recent experimental Meta AI apps, including Waddle World, Pocket, and a standalone Vibes test. Source
