Microsoft AI Updates: October 28, 2026

1. Microsoft Publishes Customer Deployment Figures for Copilot, Foundry and Agent 365

Microsoft. Judson Althoff published a roundup of enterprise deployments organized around Microsoft’s three platform layers: Copilot as the user interface, Microsoft IQ for organizational data and context, and Agent 365 for governance and observability. Reported figures include Volkswagen scaling Copilot to more than 330,000 employees, Fujitsu rolling it out to about 100,000 staff with agents handling roughly 75% of initial service desk triage, and BNY running more than 300 solutions on its Azure and Foundry based Eliza platform with client transaction inquiries resolved 80% faster. Docusign reports up to 8x throughput and 90% lower AI processing costs after moving from general-purpose to task-specific models in Foundry. Moody’s now exposes its credit and risk data to Copilot Researcher, Word, Excel and Teams through a federated Model Context Protocol connector that does not copy or export the underlying data. Source
