1. LangChain Open-Sources Content Studio, Its Slack-Based Design Agent
LangChain published a post on how it built Content Studio, a design agent in Slack that produces videos, social graphics, recreated UI images and slide decks from a prompt, with every asset written in code. The agent runs on Managed Deep Agents, and each Slack thread gets its own LangSmith Sandbox where the agent keeps project state between turns, works across a video engine, image tools and a shared canvas, and inspects its own renders. Long jobs run for hours on async subagents, and the thread shows the plan, live progress and an approval step before anything ships. LangChain reports more than 3,000 assets delivered internally, three in four requests coming from outside marketing, and a median request cost of about $0.50 in model spend, down from about $8 in mid-September. The harness is available as the Apache-2.0 licensed langchain-ai/design-agent repository, which teams can fork with their own brand tokens, fonts and skills. Source
