AWS AI Updates: July 30, 2026

1. DataSync Enhanced Mode Adds EFS and FSx for Lustre Support

AWS. AWS DataSync Enhanced mode can now use Amazon EFS and Amazon FSx for Lustre as source or destination locations, adding parallel data processing, removal of file-count limits, and detailed transfer metrics that were not available in Basic mode. AWS positions the capability for agentic AI and machine learning training, high-performance computing, and genomics, where FSx for Lustre commonly holds large training datasets. For ML teams, it makes moving large training corpora into and out of these file systems faster and more observable. Source

2. Amazon Connect Auto-Surfaces Example Evaluations for Agent Coaching

AWS. Amazon Connect now automatically retrieves recent agent-evaluation examples where an agent scored high or low on a chosen coaching topic, together with the human or AI evaluator notes explaining the score. Managers preparing coaching sessions get relevant interactions without manually searching evaluation history. The AI angle is the automated evaluator scoring and conversational analytics that grade contact-center interactions and rank them for review. Source
