1. Perplexity launches SPACE sandbox for its Computer agent

Perplexity. On July 15, 2026, Perplexity introduced SPACE, a sandbox platform that runs its Computer agent with stronger security controls such as pause and resume, session forking, and per-session credential isolation. The company said SPACE captures live memory and files so a task can be paused and picked up later. In early testing on Nvidia’s Vera architecture, Perplexity reported Computer-style workflows ran about 1.5 times faster and launched concurrent sandboxes 1.9 times faster than its production reference.
