1. Pydantic AI Ships v2.12.0 With Kimi K3 Support and Deferred Tool Events

Pydantic AI released v2.12.0, which adds support for Moonshot AI’s kimi-k3 model and expands the event stream with EnqueuedMessagesEvent, DeferredToolCallEvent, and DeferredToolResultEvent for tracking message delivery and deferred tool execution. Bug fixes align ToolReturnPart serialization with return_schema, correct tool binding for POSITIONAL_OR_KEYWORD parameters that use *args, and resolve a Mistral streaming issue that emitted output mid-integer-token. The release also repairs capability-contributed toolset ID derivation for durable execution and fixes GoogleModel media resolution forwarding in metadata. Source
