3. Google DeepMind and Isomorphic Labs Detail Bioresilience Approach
Google. Google DeepMind and Isomorphic Labs published a joint approach to bioresilience, aimed at preventing misuse of AI models in biological contexts while supporting legitimate scientific research. The plan makes models and agents available to trusted partners across three areas: preventing threat actors from misusing models, detecting outbreaks quickly, and responding to biological threats. Specific measures include partnering with more than 15 government, biosecurity, and research organizations, adapting SynthID watermarking for DNA synthesis screening, and using tools such as AlphaEvolve to optimize pathogen surveillance.
