1. AWS WAF Now Protects Amazon Bedrock AgentCore Gateway

AWS. AWS announced general availability of AWS WAF protection for Amazon Bedrock AgentCore Gateway, letting teams safeguard agentic AI applications as they move from prototype to production. A WAF protection pack is configured once at the Gateway level and applied uniformly across all downstream tools, agents, and integrations, with IP-based access controls, rate-based rules to throttle abusive traffic, and AWS Managed Rule Groups covering common exploits, malicious inputs, and Bot Control. It is available in all regions where both AWS WAF and Bedrock AgentCore Gateway are offered, removing the need to configure protections on each downstream component individually. Source
