1. Perplexity Computer Adds Agent Plugins, Installing a Workflow’s Connectors and Skills in One Step
Perplexity added plugins to Computer in its November 6 release: one install adds the connectors and skills for a whole workflow, such as a Build Landing Pages plugin from Discover that is then invoked by typing / in a session. Users can also bring their own by importing a compatible plugin from a public GitHub repository (Perplexity cites Hugging Face’s open-source skills) or by uploading a .zip file. Plugins use Agent Plugins, which Perplexity describes as an open, vendor-neutral standard for packaging skills and connectors, so the same package works across agents. They are available on individual plans and Self-Serve Enterprise, and admins of sales-assisted Enterprise organizations can opt in to early access and choose which roles may add plugins and use the connectors inside them. 2. Eight New Computer Skills Cover Interface Design, Animated Sites, Editable Video, Code Graphs and a PHP Exposure Check
Perplexity added eight skills to Computer that can be called by name in a task, such as /teardown or /graphify. Taste Skill sets art direction, layout and typography before Computer builds or redesigns a site or app screen and then checks the result in a browser, MotionSites builds websites with WebGL effects, scroll animations and hosted video, and Impeccable audits hierarchy, accessibility, responsive behavior, interaction states and design-system consistency. HyperFrames turns a description into an MP4 built from editable HTML scenes, Teardown draws exploded views and cutaways with labeled, adjustable parts for SVG, PNG or PDF export, and Graphify turns a codebase into an explorable knowledge graph of its files, functions and dependencies. PHP2Shell Exposure Check reviews authorized PHP sites and GitHub deployment configurations for CVE-2026-109618 and CVE-2026-109619 without running exploits, then prioritizes fixes, and UNBROKER by shl0ms finds possible data-broker listings and drafts opt-out requests that wait for the user’s approval. 3. Perplexity’s Voice Mode Moves to OpenAI’s gpt-live-1 and Can Now Start Computer Tasks Hands-Free
Perplexity updated Voice mode so it can navigate the app, open assets, manage Projects and start Computer tasks without leaving the conversation. The new version runs on OpenAI’s gpt-live-1 and is available on desktop web and in the Mac app for Pro and Max subscribers. Perplexity’s examples include asking it to find a launch brief in Projects and show its latest asset, to create a Computer task that compares three vendors and saves the results to a Project, and to pull a contract from a connected Drive and summarize its renewal terms. 4. Computer Compacts Long Conversations in the Background, Cutting Compaction Pauses by 94% and Credits per Turn by 7%
Perplexity Computer now summarizes large conversation history in the background in new long-running conversations, which Perplexity says reduces the pauses needed to keep working on long context by 94% and the credits used per turn by 7%. A new message-holding setting on the web lets follow-up messages sent while Computer is working wait until the current turn ends; Computer then takes them one at a time, and a queued message can be edited, deleted or pushed through with Send now. Website editing on new Computer-built sites now targets a selected element, such as a headline, button, card or navigation item, instead of a drawn rectangle, and a pending element edit can be reopened and refined. 5. Perplexity’s Agent API Gets a Batch API for Up to 50,000 Asynchronous Requests per File
Perplexity launched a Batch API for the Agent API: developers upload a JSONL file of up to 50,000 requests, create a batch and download the results when processing finishes. Each request runs the full Agent API loop with any supported model, so built-in tools such as web_search and fetch_url work inside a batch. According to the docs, completion_window accepts only 24h, which is a target rather than a deadline, a batch expires 48 hours after it is created, and requests inside a batch do not count toward the Agent API request rate limit (token rate limits still apply, and the batch retries requests that hit them); an optional Idempotency-Key header makes create calls safe to retry within 24 hours. The Batch API is open to every API organization except those with zero data retention, input and output files are kept for 30 days, and Perplexity published a cookbook that enriches a CSV of companies overnight. 6. Brain Is Now Free in Every Perplexity Project, and Enterprise Admins Get Per-Role Computer Effort and Speed Limits
Perplexity turned on Brain, a Project’s memory, in every Project for free; it updates daily from the Project’s conversations and files so later Computer tasks can build on what earlier ones learned. Enterprise admins can now give each role its own Computer settings under Roles & Permissions: a default effort level, the highest built-in effort preset members see, and a maximum speed of Normal or Fast, none of which override a member’s explicit effort choice or a custom model configuration. Perplexity Enterprise on the web also adds @mentions to bring a colleague into a thread or Computer task, with an optional Share step that grants read access and sends a notification, and a Project info sidebar plus a single Settings panel for instructions, sources, connectors and skills are now available to all users.
