Commercial Agent Tools: October 27, 2026
1. Better Design Gives Any Coding Agent a Design System and UI Review Rules Over One Command
Better Design. Better Design launched on Hacker News as a design layer for coding agents and an alternative to Claude Design that works with Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code, Devin, Antigravity and Codex. Running npx better-design connects the editor. The agent then either reads the design tokens already in the user’s code or live site, or picks one of 87 catalog design systems. It also gets tools that serve 424 UI, UX and platform guides and 135 review rules, which the agent checks its own screens against for spacing, accessibility, contrast and copy. Pricing: freemium. The free Developer plan includes 300 tool calls a month, Pro costs $20 a month billed yearly ($24 monthly) for unlimited calls and PR reviews, and Agency and Enterprise plans are custom. Source
2. Limma Replaces Chunk Retrieval With a Structured Map of Company Data Behind One MCP Server
Limma. Limma is a single MCP server that sits between agents and a company’s documents, spreadsheets, email, cloud folders and business systems. Its founders argue that similarity search over chunks cannot guarantee complete answers, so instead of retrieving the top fragments, Limma reads each source once and builds a structured, addressable map of every data point. Queries return the full matching set with a count, and every value links back to its source document, page and exact words. It runs self-hosted models, mainly Qwen, so it can be deployed on a customer’s own servers. Pricing: usage-based tiers by pages read. Free covers 250 pages a month, Starter is $49 a month, Team $199, Business $799, and on-prem licensing is available. Plans have no overage charges. Source
