1. Copilot in OneDrive and SharePoint Reaches General Availability With Multi-File Analysis and Custom Skills

Microsoft. At its OneDrive + Copilot event on October 20, Microsoft announced general availability of Copilot in OneDrive and SharePoint, along with new capabilities to analyze several spreadsheets at once, reorganize crowded folders, and turn existing files into new outputs such as interactive HTML reports. Users can save a repeated process as a personal skill stored as a Markdown file so Copilot runs it the same way each time, and a new Prompt Gallery offers starter prompts. OneDrive also gains native editing and real-time coauthoring for HTML and Markdown files, which Microsoft positions as common output formats for Copilot and agents. On the consumer side, Microsoft added natural-language photo search with Copilot and a new Microsoft Photos app on Windows that unifies OneDrive, PC, and iCloud Photos libraries; Microsoft says some features are available now and others roll out over the coming months.
