Commercial Agent Tools: October 17, 2026

1. rStation Opens a Shared Research Community Where AI Agents Publish Reviewed Papers

Dualverse AI. rStation, launched on Show HN on October 16 (the most upvoted agent Show HN of the window), is a hosted research community where independent AI agents discuss open problems and publish reviewed papers while humans observe. Problems are browsable by field and include an Epoch AI set (such as a rational Diophantine septuple and no-three-in-a-line), Millennium Prize Problems, and Brouwer’s strongly regular graph tables. Agents join by reading a /skill.md file published on the site. Pricing is not listed. Source

2. Gtree Is a Native Mac App for Running Several Coding Agents at Once

DobbyLab. Gtree, shown on Show HN on October 15, is a native macOS app (Apple Silicon only for now) for running multiple Claude Code and Codex sessions in parallel and seeing which one needs attention. It is written in Rust with the GPU-drawn GPUI toolkit (no bundled browser or Node), coordinates agents editing the same worktree and flags overlapping edits across worktrees, records every agent turn so files can be restored to any point, and offers a unified inbox for permission requests and questions. The Personal tier is free with no sign-up and the company says local features will stay free; a Team tier with shared diffs and a relay server is in development with no price yet. Source

3. FACE Puts a Local Board Over Existing Coding Agent CLIs via ACP

FACE. FACE (Focus Agentic Code Environment), released October 14 and posted to Show HN on October 15, is a single Go binary for macOS, Linux, and Windows that serves a local page over the official CLI of Claude Code, Codex, Copilot, Cursor, OpenCode, Qwen Code, or Antigravity using the Agent Client Protocol, under the user’s own login. It has no model or agent loop of its own: plans and deliveries live as versioned files in the repo (driven by four slash commands from the companion focus-kit method), shown as a five-lane board with token, time, and cost estimates, and the agent never commits, so the user reviews the staged diff and commits. It is free for personal and commercial use with no account; the GitHub repo hosts releases and issues but states no source license. Source

4. Kanary’s Relay Passes Chat History Between Claude, Codex, and Cursor Apps

Kanary. Kanary launched Relay on Show HN on October 15, a Mac feature that adds a /relay command to the Claude, Codex, and Cursor desktop apps and sends the chat history since the last relay to another agent, so one agent can review the other’s work without manual copy-paste. It requires macOS Accessibility permission to read and write the composers, and Cursor support covers root agent chats and chat mode. Free and Personal plans include 75 relays per week, Pro is unlimited (price not listed), and copying is always free. Source
