Cursor AI Updates: April 25, 2026

1. Cursor 3.2 Ships Async Subagents, Improved Worktrees, and Multi-Root Workspaces

Cursor. Cursor released version 3.2 with three significant additions: a new /multitask flow that fans out async subagents to parallelize a single request instead of queuing it, an upgraded worktrees experience that lets background-running agents on different branches be promoted into the foreground with one click, and multi-root workspaces so a single agent session can operate across multiple folders for cross-repo changes spanning frontend, backend, and shared libraries. Together the changes shift the Agents Window further toward managing many concurrent autonomous workstreams rather than driving a single chat. This is the first sizable feature drop since Cursor 3 redefined the interface earlier in April 2026. Source
