Anthropic AI Updates: October 18, 2026

1. Anthropic BDR Details a Six-Agent Claude Managed Agents Fleet That Saves About 60 Hours a Week

Anthropic. A business development representative on Anthropic’s Japan team described moving his prospecting and follow-up work to six agents on Claude Managed Agents (beta). The agents route inbound leads, qualify them and update Salesforce, draft hourly email replies in Japanese or English, update opportunity records, summarize meetings, and coordinate instruction changes from plain-language Slack requests. Each agent has one job and uses the smallest model that fits: Sonnet for routine drafting, escalating to Opus as an advisor for harder calls. The setup relies on Console schedules, a shared memory store, scoped credential vaults, and versioned instructions, and hands work off through Claude Tag (beta) in Slack. Based on a weekly task log, the author estimates the fleet saves about 60 hours of work per week. Source
