1. Hugging Face Adds Contributor Permission for Scoped Access Tokens

Hugging Face. Fine-grained access tokens and service account tokens on the Hugging Face Hub can now be granted a contributor permission that lets them create repositories in a user’s account or in selected organizations. A token with this permission gets full write access only to repositories it created itself and cannot write to any other repository, including ones created by the same user or by other tokens. The permission mirrors the contribute-repos scope already available to OAuth apps and targets CI/CD pipelines, training jobs, and agents that publish new checkpoints or datasets without needing write access to the whole namespace.
