1. GPT-6.1 Sol Ultrafast Mode Arrives in Codex and ChatGPT Work
OpenAI. OpenAI added an Ultrafast mode that speeds up token generation with GPT-6.1 Sol in Codex and ChatGPT Work. It is available on the Pro $500 plan and on eligible Enterprise and Edu plans, where it is off by default and must be enabled by workspace owners. Ultrafast supports inference residency in the United States and in Europe (EEA and Switzerland). Source
2. Codex CLI 0.162.0 Adds Managed Git Worktree Tools and Task Pinning
OpenAI. Codex CLI 0.162.0 introduces managed Git worktree tools, pinning of tasks in the Command Center, transcript copy and scroll controls, and clickable URLs in prompts. The release also adds web access and remote compaction settings for custom providers, plus JavaScript helpers with opt-in ranked tool search. Fixes cover TUI model defaults, CRLF preservation in apply_patch, Linux sandbox and Windows issues, Retry-After handling, and PowerShell checksum verification, and the CLI now ships a signed PowerShell installer. 3. OpenAI Disrupts Two “False Front” Influence Operations
OpenAI. OpenAI published a threat report describing two influence operations it disrupted that used AI to run “false front” personas, including fake journalists and a fabricated think tank, to spread geopolitical messaging. The report is part of OpenAI’s ongoing series on detecting and banning malicious use of its models. Source
4. Radisson Launches a Hotel Booking Plugin Inside ChatGPT
OpenAI. Radisson Hotel Group, working with Accenture, built a ChatGPT plugin that lets travelers find, compare, and book hotels without leaving the conversation. OpenAI featured the deployment as an example of consumer brands bringing transactional workflows into ChatGPT through its plugin platform. Source
