1. Google Launches Playground, an Experimental Prompt-to-Game Platform
Google. Google launched Playground on October 7, an experimental browser-based platform at playground.google where users describe a game in text and then adjust its physics, rules, characters, and environments through conversation, with no coding required. Users can keep games private, share them by link, or publish them to an Explore gallery that ranks games by player ratings and play activity. Published games go through safety screening against Community Guidelines. Some genres support multiplayer and leaderboards, and games run in the browser on phones and laptops. It is available only to U.S. users aged 18 and over, and how much you can create depends on your Google AI subscription tier. Google does not say which models power it. A Unity Spark integration for 3D and the Unity runtime is in testing, with a closed beta described only as “coming soon”. Source
