1. Mistral Opens a Munich Hub for Physics AI and Industrial AI
Mistral. Mistral is opening a hub in Munich that will house research teams working on Physics AI (fluid dynamics, material deformation, thermal behavior, mechanical stress) and Industrial AI, plus applied engineers supporting enterprise customers. The hub builds on the May 2026 acquisition of Emmi AI, which brought more than 30 physicists and engineers, and on existing work with BMW on crash simulations, Siemens Energy, and the Technical University of Munich, whose wind tunnel facilities are being used to build digital twins for automotive aerodynamics. 2. Mistral Acquires Adtech Firm Pimento, Its Third Acquisition of 2026
Mistral. Mistral acquired Pimento, a platform that generates and optimizes online marketing campaigns from briefings, brand identity, and historical campaign performance, with an editing workflow that produces campaign-ready output. The deal pays €3.6 million in cash for 48% of the company plus 244,786 new Mistral shares for the remaining stake, valuing Pimento at about €12.7 million. It follows the earlier purchases of Koyeb (cloud deployment) and Emmi AI (industrial simulation) and extends Mistral into business applications beyond models and infrastructure. Source
