Hugging Face AI Updates: September 10, 2026

1. Hugging Face Launched ML Intern, an Agent That Runs Training Jobs From a Chat

Hugging Face. ML Intern takes a described project, searches the Hub, GitHub, and the web for candidate models, datasets, and tools, then estimates compute cost and proposes a budget. Once the budget is approved it will not exceed it. From there the agent handles dataset creation, training, job monitoring, uploading results, generating a report, and building a demo, with a per-experiment progress dashboard. The pricing example Hugging Face gives is a roughly six-hour run for under $0.50. The launch lands during NVIDIA’s acquisition of Hugging Face, with Jensen Huang having committed to keeping the platform open and hardware-neutral. Source
