1. xAI Publishes the Interface Reasoning Behind Grok Bot
xAI. A design writeup explains how the Grok Bot interface changed once agents persisted beyond a single session. Chat history gives way to a Bot roster with distinct avatars and presence cues showing what each Bot is working on, each Bot gets its own cloud computer, and Routines start work on a schedule or event with no prompt. Structured responses render as inline cards and widgets, and group chats let multiple Bots collaborate. The team removed window and panel controls, computer-view options, and agent metadata, and capped accounts at roughly 50 Bots with six per group chat, filtering each decision through whether it helped someone delegate or added another thing to manage.
