1. Anthropic Ships Ten Ready-Made Finance Agents and Microsoft 365 Add-Ins

Anthropic. Anthropic released ten pre-built agent templates for financial services workflows — pitchbook building, KYC screening, month-end close, general-ledger reconciliation, earnings reviews, valuation reviews, and more — distributed as plugins for Claude Cowork and Claude Code, plus cookbooks for Claude Managed Agents. Alongside the templates, Claude now plugs directly into Excel, PowerPoint, and Word as Microsoft 365 add-ins (Outlook coming soon), with context flowing automatically between apps so an analyst can pull data in Excel and have Claude draft the corresponding PowerPoint slide without re-uploading. Eight new data connectors (Dun & Bradstreet, Fiscal AI, Financial Modeling Prep, Guidepoint, IBISWorld, SS&C IntraLinks, Third Bridge, Verisk) and a Moody’s MCP app for credit ratings round out the launch — Anthropic’s clearest play yet to package Claude as a vertical product for finance rather than a horizontal model.
