Anthropic AI Updates: May 5, 2026

1. Anthropic Launches a $1.5B Enterprise-AI Services JV with Blackstone, Hellman & Friedman, and Goldman Sachs

Anthropic. Anthropic announced a new joint venture with Blackstone, Hellman & Friedman, and Goldman Sachs to stand up an enterprise AI services company aimed at helping mid-market and PE-backed firms deploy Claude in production. Reporting puts the size of the venture around $1.5B, and it lands the same day OpenAI confirmed a parallel $4B+ “Deployment Company” with PwC — a clear signal that the frontier labs now see services-and-integration as a first-class business, not something to subcontract to existing consultancies.
