Cursor AI Updates: May 5, 2026
1. Cursor Ships Enterprise Controls: Model Allow/Blocklists, Soft Spend Limits, and Granular Usage Analytics
Cursor. A new Enterprise release adds three admin-side levers. Model Access Controls let admins block entire providers or specific configurations (filtering by speed and context window). Soft Spend Limits provide a non-blocking alternative to hard caps, with automatic alerts at 50%, 80%, and 100% of soft or hard thresholds. Usage Analytics now break down consumption per user across clients, Cloud Agents, automations, Bugbot, and Security Review. Admins on legacy blocklists must migrate to the new model controls by June 1. Source
