1. Baseten’s Mammoth-1 and Elephant-1 Decision Models Land on AI Gateway, Free Through October 27

Vercel. Vercel added two decision models from Baseten to AI Gateway: Mammoth-1 (27B parameters) and Elephant-1 (9B parameters). Both have a 16k-token context window. Instead of free-form text, they return choices, probabilities, and scores for choice, boolean, and score questions. The model IDs are baseten/mammoth-1 and baseten/elephant-1, and there are three ways to call them: experimental_decide in the AI SDK, the OpenAI-client-compatible Decisions API at https://ai-gateway.vercel.sh/v1, or a TypeSafe-compatible endpoint. Calls appear in Gateway logs and count toward budgets. Access is free through October 27, and Vercel has not yet published regular pricing. Source
