1. Deep Agents 0.7.30 Queues Async Subagent Follow-Ups and Adds Parent Notifications and Webhooks

LangChain. Deep Agents 0.7.30 lets follow-up messages to an async subagent queue up instead of interrupting the work it already has in progress. AsyncSubAgent gains two completion hooks: a notify_parent option that reports back to the parent agent, and a webhook option for alerting external systems, which helps when long-running subagents are wired into other services. The release also fixes async subagent status checks so they report runs cancelled on the server, retry when a thread cannot be read, and leave reasoning out of their results. Two more fixes: conversation summaries now drop reasoning blocks tied to the history they replace, and LocalShellBackend counts output limits in UTF-8 bytes. Source
