AWS AI Updates: September 2, 2026

1. Claude Fable 5.1 Is Generally Available on AWS

AWS. Anthropic’s new frontier model is now generally available to AWS customers, positioned for long-running agentic work that spans hours and multiple applications. AWS highlights better judgement on ambiguous tasks, fewer confident wrong answers, and a model that reports being stuck instead of disabling a failing test to claim success. Claude Mythos 5.1, the same underlying model with full cyber and bio capabilities retained for security and biology research, is available under limited access. Source

2. Amazon Quick Ships Natural Language App Building at GA

AWS. Amazon Quick is now generally available with the ability to build custom applications from a natural language description, producing live apps wired to existing business data rather than static dashboards. Quick connects to Salesforce, Jira, Asana, ServiceNow, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, databases, and data warehouses, and every connection inherits the organization’s existing identity and authorization policies. Changes such as adding AI to an app or connecting another system are made by describing them rather than editing code. Source
