1. Pydantic AI Ships v2.10.0 With Background Mode and pause_turn Support

Pydantic AI. Pydantic AI released v2.10.0, which makes message_history provider-valid out of the box to repair tool-call and result pairing, and adds support for OpenAI background mode and Anthropic’s stop_reason=pause_turn. Bug fixes correct has_values() returning true for all-zero usage, RenamedToolset silently dropping tools on name collisions, event-loop affinity in run_stream_sync, and DeferredToolResults resume issues. The release also bumps the transformers dependency floor to 5.5.0 to address CVE-2026-5241. Source
