Anthropic AI Updates: July 11, 2026
1. Cognition Runs Devin Overnight on Claude Fable 5
Anthropic. Anthropic published a case study on Cognition, the company behind the autonomous software engineer Devin, describing how it integrated Claude Fable 5 to power agent runs that continue unattended for hours on codebase migrations, bug backlogs, and neglected features. Cognition reported that Fable 5 scored roughly 30 percent on the hardest subset of its internal “Frontier Code” benchmark, up from around 10 percent for the previous Opus model, citing the model’s ability to hold context through messy debugging and use internal tools reliably. The write-up highlights delegating agents at night and returning to genuine multi-hour progress by morning. Source
