1. Pydantic AI Ships v2.9.0 With Usage Limits in Tools and a Security Patch

Pydantic AI. Pydantic AI released v2.9.0, which exposes usage_limits to tools so tool code can read and enforce token and request budgets, and adds a /usage command to the CLI for inspecting consumption. The release also patches security advisory GHSA-jpr8-2v3g-wgf9, with a companion v1.107.1 backporting a fix for a dangling-tool-call vulnerability in AG-UI message sanitization to the 1.x line. Teams pinned to either branch should upgrade to pick up the security fixes. Source
