1. Microsoft Publishes AI in Education Report and New Classroom Tools
Microsoft released the third edition of its annual AI in Education Report, describing strong adoption of AI in schools alongside growing demand for help moving from experimentation to responsible, meaningful use. Alongside the report, the company announced a wave of new AI-powered teaching and learning experiences available at no additional cost ahead of ISTELive 26. New features include Unit Plans in Teach for standards-aligned lesson planning, Student AI Guidelines, a Learning Zone for interactive classroom experiences, Copilot Notebooks for AI study guides, and a Study and Learn Agent for guided learning.
