Perplexity AI Updates: June 20, 2026
1. Perplexity Releases Brain, a Shared Memory System Spanning Its Products
Perplexity. Perplexity released Brain, a memory system that operates across Perplexity Search, the Computer agent, and the Comet browser rather than living inside a single product, so the Computer agent begins each task with context on a user’s projects, decisions, and sources instead of starting cold. On tasks that require past context, the company reports Brain improves answer correctness by 25 percent, improves recall by 16 percent, and runs 13 percent cheaper per task. Rather than acting as an opaque store, Brain surfaces a user’s knowledge as categorized topics, the underlying context behind each topic, and a navigable 3D map of the connections between them, retrieving context only when a task needs it.
