Anthropic AI Updates: June 20, 2026

1. Claude Code v2.1.183 Adds Model Deprecation Warnings and Commit Attribution Controls

Anthropic. Claude Code v2.1.183, tagged June 19, added a warning that appears when a requested model is deprecated or automatically updated to a newer model, shown on stderr in print mode and now also covering models set in agent frontmatter. The release introduced an attribution.sessionUrl setting that omits the claude.ai session link from commits and pull requests in web and Remote Control sessions, along with a /config --help command that lists every shorthand key available for the /config key=value syntax. The update shipped alongside auto mode safety improvements that block destructive git and infrastructure commands the user did not explicitly request. Source
