Cohere AI Updates: October 6, 2026

1. Cohere Launched North 2, an Agent Orchestration Upgrade to Its Enterprise Platform

Cohere. North 2 adds multi-step agent automations built from reusable Skills, organization-wide Libraries, cross-session Memory, natural-language Applications for prototyping dashboards and documents, and drag-and-drop Automation templates, with connectors for Slack, SharePoint, OneDrive, Outlook, Exchange, Jira, Linear, Notion, and GitHub. It deploys self-hosted, in a VPC, hybrid, or on-premises, and a North Admin console provides role-based access controls, token consumption monitoring, and per-user or per-group spend limits. The platform stays model-agnostic, accepting Cohere or customer models, and Cohere says it worked with NVIDIA on token efficiency for Blackwell and Hopper hardware; pricing and a general availability date were not given. 2. Cohere and PwC Formed a Global Alliance, Starting in Canada

Cohere. The alliance pairs Cohere’s North platform, models, and search and retrieval stack with PwC’s industry, risk, regulatory, and transformation teams to help clients pick use cases, connect AI to enterprise data, and set up governance for scaled deployment. Target workloads include enterprise search, knowledge access, deep research, decision support, and task automation, deployable in private cloud, on-premises, and air-gapped environments. The partnership launches first in Canada with global scope, giving Cohere another systems-integrator channel for regulated customers. Source
