1. NVIDIA Begins Shipping Vera, Its First CPU Built for AI Agents
NVIDIA. NVIDIA said its Vera CPU, the company’s first custom-designed processor built for agentic AI workloads, is now shipping to early partners. The chip pairs 88 custom Olympus cores with 1.2TB/s of memory bandwidth and delivers up to 1.8x faster per-core performance on agentic tasks such as orchestration, tool-calling, reinforcement learning, and long-context state management. NVIDIA said initial systems went to AWS, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, Anthropic, OpenAI, and SpaceXAI, with Oracle planning to deploy hundreds of thousands of Vera CPUs beginning in 2026 as the first hyperscale cloud provider deployment.
