1. North Automations adds workflow orchestration to the enterprise platform

Cohere introduced North Automations, a workflow orchestration capability within its North agentic platform aimed at running coordinated, multi-step AI processes rather than isolated task automation. Users describe a goal in plain language, connect their existing tech stack, schedule runs, and produce auditable execution paths with branching logic. The system lets teams select a different model at each workflow step to balance cost and performance, offers a plan mode for review, and supports versioning and pre-production testing. Enterprise governance features include approval loops at key moments, usage analytics, and token monitoring. North Automations runs inside Cohere’s full-stack agentic platform with on-premises or cloud deployment, and integrates through first-party connectors, custom tools via MCP, or the Cohere SDK. Source
