1. GLM 5.2 Gets a 35% Discount on the AI Gateway

Vercel. Vercel is offering GLM 5.2 at 35% off through the AI Gateway until July 24 when requests are routed through Novita. Developers set the model to zai/glm-5.2 in the AI SDK and name Novita in the gateway order parameter to claim the discounted rate. After the promotional window closes, the model stays available at standard provider rates with no added markup. Source

2. Chat SDK Adds Native Slack Agent Support

Vercel. Vercel’s Chat SDK Slack adapter now supports native agent messaging, including the Agent badge, agent conversations in the Messages tab, suggested prompts, rotating status messages, and native feedback buttons. Replies stream token by token through Slack’s native API, with automatic fallback to post-and-edit for workspaces that lack streaming support. Feedback buttons route thumbs-up and thumbs-down reactions through standard bot action handlers. Source

3. AI SDK xAI Provider Fixes Video Polling and Tool-Result Images

Vercel. Vercel released @ai-sdk/xai@4.0.16, which fixes handling of empty HTTP 202 responses returned while polling video generation jobs. The update also preserves images in Responses API tool results, keeping multimodal outputs intact through tool calls. The patch ships alongside backported fixes in the 3.0.110 and 2.0.81 releases.
