OpenAI restored ChatGPT access on WhatsApp across the European Economic Area through its verified 1-800-CHATGPT contact, months after the assistant became unavailable on the platform in January following a WhatsApp policy change. Users can send text, upload images, share voice messages, and generate images in multiple languages, and OpenAI extended the same messaging strategy to Kakao in South Korea and Viber in supported markets. The move puts ChatGPT back in front of a large European user base inside one of the region’s most-used messaging apps. Source
