An Anthropic survey of roughly 9,700 users found that about half believe AI already handles at least half of their tasks, and 26 percent expect AI to cover 60 to 90 percent of their work within a year. Early-career workers reported more concern about displacement than the heaviest users of the tool. The results offer a self-reported snapshot of how quickly users perceive AI moving into core parts of their jobs, though the sample is drawn from existing Claude users and skews toward adopters.
