1. PP-OCRv6 Lands on Hugging Face With 50-Language Support

PaddlePaddle published a post on the Hugging Face blog introducing PP-OCRv6, the latest generation of the PaddleOCR universal OCR model family for detecting and recognizing text across real-world scenarios. The release includes three scaled models ranging from 1.5M to 34.5M parameters, with the medium and small tiers supporting 50 languages. The models are made available on Hugging Face. Source
