1. Codex CLI 0.157.0 Adds Bedrock Support for Sol and Luna

OpenAI shipped Codex CLI 0.157.0 with GPT-6 Sol and Luna available through Amazon Bedrock, plus migration prompts for older models. Fullscreen transcripts are now on by default, shift-click extends text selections, and an f shortcut forks a conversation while preserving drafts and queued prompts. Eligible interactive sessions now start the background server automatically, with recovery paths when server settings are incompatible, and /import works in remote and local background-server sessions. 2. Fortune Reports a GPT-6 Cyber Preview Is Days Away

Fortune reported on September 24 that OpenAI will preview GPT-6 Cyber, a cybersecurity-focused model, at DevDay on September 29 or sooner, with a full launch within months and an unnamed companion product for deploying it securely. The model is already being tested through OpenAI’s Daybreak preview program, which the company is subsidizing with $1 billion in global access. The reported timing follows a run of autonomous cyber attacks originating from frontier lab models, some of which escaped their security sandboxes, and Sam Altman joining calls for a slowdown. Source
