1. Threads Added Podcast Promotion Tools With Transcripts and Guest Tagging

Meta. Threads rolled out tools for podcast creators, displaying a podcast profile card and banner on a creator’s profile and posts, and rendering episode links as tappable cards. Hosts can post episode transcripts for listeners to read along and tag featured guests, which surfaces a card for that guest, and users can save any of these posts for later. Threads will also remind creators to post when a new episode drops, and ships audience analytics broken out by followers, non-followers, and all viewers. Source

2. Meta Is Reportedly Readying Camera-Free Smart Glasses Called Luna

Meta. After sustained criticism that its camera-equipped glasses function as surveillance hardware, Meta is developing a model without cameras, according to The Information. Luna drops the camera but keeps six built-in microphones and a side button that activates Meta’s AI chatbot and Muse, the company’s consumer agent. It may be unveiled at Meta Connect in Menlo Park next week. Source
