1. iOS 27 Shipped the Delayed Siri Overhaul, Built on Google’s Gemini Models

Apple. Apple released iOS 27 and macOS Golden Gate 27. The rebuilt Siri runs on Gemini models and handles multistep requests with context pulled from files, messages, and email, drafts and sends messages, answers sports queries with scores and lineups, and does on-screen visual recognition through the Camera app. Supported devices are iPhone 11 and later plus second-generation iPhone SE and later. macOS Golden Gate 27 is also the last macOS release to support Rosetta for Intel applications. 2. Apple Intelligence Picked Up Natural Language Shortcuts and Safari Page Monitoring

Apple. The release lets users create Shortcuts by describing them in natural language rather than assembling steps manually, and adds Safari page-change monitoring for blogs and pricing pages. Other additions include photo reframe, extend, and an improved eraser, smart suggestions for turning messages into Calendar or Notes entries, and automatic password rotation through the Passwords app. Source
