1. Google DeepMind Brings Sign-Language-to-Text AI to Pixel
Google. Google DeepMind introduced SL2T, a sign-language-to-text model that lets Deaf and hard of hearing users sign directly into their phones, starting with American Sign Language to English. The capability now powers sign-to-text dictation in Gboard and Live Transcribe on the Pixel 11, and Google said the model was trained on more than 100,000 hours of data spanning over 50 sign languages. 2. Google Unveils Pixel 11 and New Gemini Features at Made by Google ‘26
Google. At its Made by Google ‘26 event, Google unveiled the Pixel 11 lineup alongside a set of Gemini-powered features, including Gboard Rambler, a voice-input tool built to handle run-on sentences and filler words, and deeper Gemini Intelligence across the phones. The company extended Circle to Search to work directly in the Pixel Camera for identifying objects, translating text, and asking questions about surroundings, and added real-time audio dubbing for videos and podcasts using the new Tensor G6 chip.
