NVIDIA AI Updates: June 22, 2026

1. NVIDIA Brings 100 Percent Liquid Cooling to Rubin AI Servers at 45C

NVIDIA detailed how its Rubin generation AI servers move to fully closed-loop liquid cooling, with every chip and networking component cooled by liquid and no fans, operating at coolant temperatures up to 45C (113F). The design, captured in the NVIDIA DSX AI factory reference, lets data centers reject heat using outdoor dry coolers and skip chillers in favorable climates, cutting cooling energy and reducing water use from roughly 2.6 million gallons per megawatt annually toward zero. NVIDIA said warmer coolant temperatures matter because cooling can consume up to 40 percent of data center electricity, and it credited nearly a decade of work with Motivair, the cooling division of Schneider Electric.
