1. Stable Audio 3.0 ships a four-model family with 6:20-long tracks and three open-weight tiers

Stability AI. Stability AI launched Stable Audio 3.0 as a four-model family: small SFX (459M parameters), small (459M), medium (1.4B), and large (2.7B), with the small variants generating up to two minutes of audio on-device and medium and large generating full compositions up to 6 minutes 20 seconds while maintaining musical structure and melodic tone — more than double the length ceiling of Stable Audio 2.0. The small SFX, small, and medium models ship with open weights, while large is restricted to paid API and self-hosted enterprise licensing for companies exceeding $1M in revenue. Stability says the entire family is trained on fully licensed data following its Warner Music Group and Universal Music Group partnerships, and the launch coincides with the company hiring Ethan Kaplan, former chief digital officer at Universal Audio and Fender, to lead a new professional music product line.
