OpenAI AI Updates: May 10, 2026
1. Codex CLI 0.130.0 ships remote-control mode and Bedrock AWS auth
OpenAI. The 0.130.0 release adds a codex remote-control entry point for headless, remotely controllable app-server instances, plus thread pagination so clients can page through large threads in unloaded, summary, or full views. Bedrock authentication now accepts AWS console-login credentials from aws login profiles, plugin details surface bundled hooks with new sharing controls, and live app-server threads pick up config changes without restart. 2. Musk v. Altman trial enters week two with Brockman counterpunch
OpenAI. OpenAI used week two of the Musk v. Altman trial to argue that Musk himself pushed for a for-profit arm and sought absolute control, rebutting Musk’s claim that he was deceived into donating $38 million to a nonprofit mission. Former board member Shivon Zilis testified that Musk had previously tried to recruit Sam Altman to lead a new AI lab at Tesla, complicating the plaintiff’s framing of his own intent. Source
