1. NVIDIA Bakes Multipath RDMA Into Spectrum-X Ethernet for Gigascale AI

NVIDIA. NVIDIA rolled out Multipath Reliable Connection (MRC) on Spectrum-X, an open RDMA transport that lets a single connection distribute traffic over multiple network paths and recover from path failures without resetting state. NVIDIA frames Spectrum-X as the open, AI-native Ethernet fabric for gigascale clusters; MRC is co-developed with OpenAI, AMD, Broadcom, Intel, and Microsoft and is positioned as the new standard for training and inference networks at supercomputer scale.
