1. Digital Rights Groups File Amicus Brief to Lift Perplexity-Amazon Shopping Agent Ban

Perplexity. The EFF, Mozilla, ACLU, and Knight First Amendment Institute filed a friend-of-the-court brief asking the 9th Circuit to overturn the injunction banning Perplexity’s Comet shopping agent from Amazon. They argue the lower court’s interpretation of the CFAA is “antithetical to foundational principles of the open internet,” since users, not Perplexity, initiate the access.
