1. Apple Previews AI and Accessibility Research for CHI 2026

Apple. Apple announced its research presentations for the ACM CHI 2026 conference (April 13-17 in Barcelona). Papers include “Improving User Interface Generation from Implicit Designer Feedback” on training AI models from professional designer feedback, and research on instantiating UI components with distinguishing variations. Apple is sponsoring the conference and will demo AirPods Pro 3 research based on 10,000+ 3D ear scans. Source

2. Researchers Bypass Apple Intelligence Safeguards with Prompt Injection

Apple. Researchers disclosed a two-part attack chaining Unicode RIGHT-TO-LEFT OVERRIDE characters with a “Neural Exec” technique to bypass Apple’s on-device LLM safety filters, succeeding in 76% of 100+ test prompts. The vulnerability was disclosed to Apple in October 2025, and Apple has since rolled out fixes in iOS 26.4 and macOS 26.4 to address the specific attack vector. Source
